This is for a Christian organization (interfaith caregivers) that is looking for volunteers from the local churches to help their elderly neighbors
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 22:38
Dear Sally,
On a cold, dreary day, my neighbor rests in a cozy vintage chair from her early-married years…alone… staring out her cloudy front window…reminiscing…
You see, she recently lost her husband of 60 years. Unfortunately, she is totally alone. G-d did not bless her with children.
Lonely and scared, she sits day after day at the window wondering how she will manage without her loving husband.
Sally, there are over 300 elderly people, just like my neighbor, in our community who need your help. Not financial help, but the gift of time. It could be shopping, well-timed phones calls, or just sitting for a few minutes, reminiscing. Maybe cleaning a window or two…
I am asking you for only 1-2 hours a week of your time to help one elderly neighbor in our community.
Your help will surely come back to you a hundred fold.
